I'm replacing the heat blower motor in a 2002 buick lesabre with AC and a 3.8 , the old one would come on if you tapped it and would respond to the speed setting . The new one comes attached to a plastic housing but the original housing doesn't seem to be able to come out after removing all screws , there's just no room . Looks like if you took out the floor trim I guess it might come out . I'm going to use the original plastic housing but before I start cutting the gasket and drilling holes in the new to make it fit does any one know what it takes to get that plastic housing out from under the dash ?

You just have to shift it around. It will come out. If you need to, pull the carpet back.
