When struts are needing replacement you would at least do them in pairs. Don't make me look it up but does this use just fronts or four as in rear ones as well? How many are you quoted to replace? Generally it's highly advised to do a full alignment as well at the same time so a grand for all four might not be that unusual depending on difficulty factor and cost of parts, T

Well, I was quoted 4 times @ $186 and labor was added. He said when I was ready to give him a call.
