rpm pulses very mildly and regular - less than 100 rpm pulses about twice per second - tach barely moves. It happens at idle, highway speed and everywhere in between. Quiet for 10 seconds after start, then it begins. It sounds like it is searching; overshoots, undershoots. Interferes with acceleration. 114K miles. 2006

Start out checking for any stored trouble codes. If there are any codes, post the numbers here before going any further. If no codes found, then check carefully for any vacuum leaks and then clean the throttle body with some throttle body cleaner to include both sides of the throttle plate and surrounding bore. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks. No codes. I was looking at MAF and throttle body cleaning videos this am! Cheap. Vacuum leaks - I'll have to check that.

Also check for any air leaks in the intake snorkel between the MAF and the throttle body.
