Check it very carefully for any vacuum leaks.

You've been watching too many Scotty Kilmer videos.

Test the 0/2 to determine if it is capable of going rich.

Has its dangers but carb cleaner targeting a possible leak should change the idle for better or worse when you hit one or more. Cooler engine and AYOR as there's risk of fire - be ready,

Re: p0171 code Sign In

Your vehicle doesn't have a MAF.

If you are smoking an engine to find vacuum leaks, you have to plug the intake ducting.

You really need to find out what was going on when the lean code set. This can be done by looking at freeze frame data with an enhanced scan tool. You can also look at fuel trim data to see if you have a vacuum or fueling problem.

Re: p0171 code Sign In

Since it's only happening to one side of a V6 engine, I would be highly suspicious of the 0/2 sensor.
