Those lights mean little if not running. Just a bulb check, T

Hammer Time already said what it takes for an engine to run back several posts. Which is missing - fuel, spark or both then it's probably going to take a code reader if it has neither and still has compression up to par and no clue right now why shift indicator doesn't light but may when and if you get it running. May need help hands on with the right tools to figure this one out, T

Tom's right. You do know the ECU isn't energizing the main and fuel pump relays. Hooking a scanner up and checking for trouble codes would help fill in the blanks. It is also helpful if you can get hold of a scanner that can look at live data to see what is going on with the data stream. If a scanner can't communicate with the ECU, then check all power and ground circuits to the ECU. You want to check those powers and grounds with circuits loaded. This mean back probing the ECU connectors checking for voltage drops. If you have your powers and grounds, the next thing to check would be your ECU power supply voltages to the engine sensors. Something shorting the ECU power supply to ground can cause the ECU to shut down. If all those things check out and you exhausted all your checks, the ECU itself is more than likely the problem. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Dear friends, As i told my car is stuck in such a place from where Honda dealer is 500 KM away, And in this place i do not have any code reader to any of the technician. After a long try, atlast we could start the car. i am not sure that it is the right system. so i did not go any further. What we did from battery ground pole, we directly connect to the ECU's "A" conncetors no. 6 (Green color )cable. We did not disconnect the cable from the connector just open the wire and join another cable which goes to battery ground pole. After strating the car i have checked with gear change, OK. Accelarator pressing, ok. Now you the experienced guys, can you assume where is the problem. Regards Tawhid

Hi, I have searched for replacing the ECU, I could not get any ECU, contacted with Honda dealer they are asking a lot of money about 3000 USD. Can anyone help me to get an ECU, for my car. or any other options that i can follow. I have got the problem of the ECU, it is not supplying ground to the relay. If i directly connect the ground cable to the battery ground, Car starts, but when i shift gear, car jumps and after few second it stops. Regards Tawhid

I seriously doubt the ECU is even your problem. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
