I have a 1997 Nissan Pickup. two wheel drive and manual tranny. the starter is dragging now that i had the motor rebuilt. I have replaced the battery, alternator, starter,regulator and still have a problem. I have pefrect ground and possitive cables and good connections as well. I also went back with the stock camshaft and head on the overhaul. the starter is a direct drive and i cant seem to find one with an external bendix. If anyone can help with this issue I would greatly appreciate it.. Thanks.....

daniel; With the spark plugs removed, can you turn the engine over easily? External bendix? Never heard of that. Sorry.
