2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3L 190k The Vapor Canister Vent Valve threw a code in the OBDII. Replaced it, cleared the code. Drove the vehicle for few hundred miles to set the computer. Unfortunately, the code came back and had to replace the valve again. Something is causing the valve to go bad but, I don't know what. Going on 3 years since it's been licensed current. Fees are overdue but it won't smog. Anyone know how I can fix the problem once and for all so I can get legal again?

What is the actual code number being set? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
