Hi all I've been through the post and have cleaned out my iac and the idle went back down after I started the car. However when I took it for a drive and shift into gears my idle jump from 1500 to 3000 and would return back downbetween 1 and 2. Is there anything else I should check. Thankyou

If you unplug the electrical connector from the valve with the engine idling, does it stall or idle really low? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

If it idles low after unplugging the IAC during the high idle situation, that probably means the engine controller is commanding the higher than normal idle. It could be an input problem. Are there any trouble codes stored in the engine controller. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
