Good Day, I have a 2005 GMC W4500 5.2L 4HK1 vin# J8DC4B16857003161. < its actually a NPR Isuzu for well over a year now it has become harder and harder to start. It turns over just fine but hard to start. Its now become an ether baby. The injector pump was replaced 2 years ago and did not help. Today i removed and grounded the glow plugs against the battery and yes they do glow nicely at the tip within 10 seconds. The glow plug indicator on the dash only comes on for a second or less when the ign key is turned on, regardless of ambient temperature. I did notice when the front most plug was removed it was very wet. The other 3 were dry. Im suspecting that a leaking injector my be causing a drop in fuel pressure causing my problem but dont know how to confirm it. I know last year when i looked at this i did have power across the glow plug wire but temperature was cold then. Right now were experiencing spring time warm temps, so i dont think i should be seeing power when its above 40 deg. <<Can anyone confirm this? I dont have any service data on this vehicle and i need a direction to turn to next, so im needing your help once again. Thanks

I'm afraid we don't have any info on this vehicle and I don't think anyone here is fluent in diesel. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Not a diesel person either - I know any reason for low compression it's game over they fire on "heat of compression" - that and GM can't make a good one, T
