i have a 1987 chevy 4wd truck 5.7 engine 38000 miles...it started blowing the ecm fuse and found and fixed that problem now but then it started acting stupid i can crank it when the map sensor is unhooked but hook the sensor up it shut off befor the vaccum line gets on all the way.i have replaced the sensor,the computer and i am at a loss on it all the codes it throws is the map sensor

codes are not a certain item but the area of a problem. This may have problems with wiring connections/integrity or the vacuum source, T

i have had the wireing harness stretched out on my kitchen table and have been double checking all connections every time i mess with the truck

Connection might look good and not be? Can you continuity check from the end to see if they would allow current to pass thru? Hate to do it but there's a chance insulation of wire looks good but wire broke inside. If you feel a weak spot especially heading for the MAP sensor you can test using sharp tiny pins for continuity. Making even pin pricks is wiring works but you should seal the prick hole even so small it invites corrosion, T

after i got off work today i went and tested every connection in the harness and everything has power at the connections
|
