Hi I have a 1990 Chevy s10 4.3. With 135000 miles. I have a couple issues. First the truck Boggs down quite a bit around 4th gear I believe,(around 45mph). I can hear a hole or leak in exhausts may be the issue. Also it idles real high and when not in drive and I rev the engine most the time it stutters like it might die but doesn't. Also does this when releasing power when making a turn. The truck also dies and runs out of gas right under 1/8 of a tank mark. My first guess is new round of filters(air/fuel) but this is my first Chevy and could use some guidance. Thanks for any advice you can give

Sounds newly acquired to you? OK - Filters no problem just because as routine and can't hurt. Totally doubt fuel filter causes gas gauge to be off rather along the way a new tank or sender OR even gauge needle on dash is off. Try hard not to run low or out of fuel as that's hard on fuel pumps. Find that exhaust leak and fix that. General tune-up to check and do along with checking for vacuum leaks (high idle or erratic) fuel pressure, back pressure of exhaust all important. Your 4th gear is really locking up torque converter in 3rd gear and at about right speed and can be abrupt if the rest of the way the engine runs isn't right. Several things to do and know about it to move on if routine checks don't solve issues, T
