Where's the switch? Sign In

My brother has a 2004 Chevy silverado turbo diesel, 6.6 L, and it has dual gas tanks. The question is, where is the switch for the gas tanks? Or does it even have one? Thanx for any answers

They appear to be wired for sequential use with a single pump. The only thing dual are the gauges so essentially, it operates as one tank with a reserve.

So does that mean when one tank goes empty, it automatcally switches to the other? Sorry, need it in layman's terms.

I thought that's what I gave you.

One pump appears to draw from both tanks. With only one pump, you can't switch tanks.

Its the same thing a semi uses. Dual draw and dual return with a crossover. Run it to E and that means both are dead.
