What! Are you some kinda short bus person?

Buy, own, borrow or whatever a truck and expect awesome fuel economy!!?? Are you allowed out of your restraints yet?

You couldn't even put a subject line that makes any sense so this thread will end up in our overflowing Spam Bin by next mod who reads it!

If you want better mileage, you need a smaller vehicle. With the numbers you are currently getting thats as good as it gets. You aren't going to make a 3 ton truck with the aerodynamics of a brick do any better. The reason you rev up on hills is because your transmission needs to downshift to maintain speed because you have a big truck with a little engine. Short of always driving downhill with a 50mph wind behind you, there isn't anything that is going to improve you beyond the very reasonable 17/14 you currently get. If you feel better, my truck does 14/9 and isn't about to improve either. Higher fuel cost is part of the package for driving a full-size truck.
