Ford e350 brake maintenance

Hello,
My trucks front brakes are making noise, indicating new pads are needed. Should I replace the rotors as well or just have them resurfaced? What indicators are there to determine replacement?

They have to be measured with a micrometer. Every rotor has a minimum thickness specification that you cannot go below.
