A friend of mine has a 1968 International 4wheel drive 1200 series. How many needle bearings are in the transfer case for the rear driveline. They must just set in there loosely around whatever the rear yoke for the driveline attaches to, because when he pulled that out, they all just fell out. He's ran a magnet over the ground there, but is not quite sure if he got them all. And we haven't been able to find anywhere that could tell us how many there are or possible suggestions on what to do. Any suggestions people? It's completely above and beyond me. I have troubles changing the clutch in my pickup, so I'm of pretty much no use here.

Now there's the trivia question of the decade! If they pack in there like for a traditional U-joint my guess is there will be enough that you couldn't add one more but not too tight. the exact number may not be known as it's possible that different manufacturers used a different amount just like U-joints.

I guess I would have to just pack them back in with some grease and see how close the ones you have get. If too few, get a stronger magnet and keep lookingCrazy

This could be real tough if any are missing. If so get as good a measurment of one as you can and post the info.

It might need a new one and a world search may be required, T
