I have a 1989 Chevy Silverado that was hit by a 2004 Dodge Ram. I still have the truck, it's very sentimental. I was wondering if, by looking at the pictures/video I have posted, right off the bat someone might be able to tell me whether it’s worth trying to fix it or just go head and strip it. I have had a few people look at it. They said that the 'A' frame for the passenger wheel needs to be replaced, but everything else seems easily replaceable, but they quoted me about 10K just for the 'A' frame replacement. When the Ram hit me it's driver side front tire rode up onto my passenger wheel. The frame itself is straight, so I have been told. Based on the driver side front wheel position, when the steering wheel is straight, it does at least look like it is straight from the front. The back is messed up from where my truck spun and was dragged by the Ram's back wheel well. I know the pictures are hard to tell what's happening I can get more if anyone would like to see an area better, but I figured this is a quick and cheap way to get some more eyes on the situation for me. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Pictures

1989 - That's gone. A frame alone wouldn't be so bad and you wouldn't know exact frame damage till it was on a frame machine let alone a zillion dinky parts and obvious body parts. You still wont be happy but doesn't the at fault party pay for the damage up to the total value? Get another and use this one for parts if you really want that exact truck, T

I believe you have more frame damage than you think you do. The severe damage on the left side of the truck was due to frame shifting from impact on the right side. There aren't many parts of the truck that aren't damaged. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
