It looks fine not much fluid comes out of the hose when I press the pedal though. Any specific point that I should check or am I going to have to strip the truck apart to access the whole brake system? way2old Veteran / Moderator Nov 22, 2009, 6:26 PM Post #4 of 6 (3108 views) Re: 1979 Chevy c10 Sign In If you open the bleeder and the piston depresses, the hose is plugged and not allowing fluid to return to the master cylinder. The hoses will deteriorate internally and cause a flap to drop down causing a "one way check valve". The fluid will go to the caliper, but not return. If no fluid comes out, you have to start going back to the next connection to find where the blockage is. Possibly the proprotioning(metering)valve may not be allowing fluid to go to the caliper.
