What area of the country do you live in? Do you run gas with ethanol? How long has the bike been sitting? When the problem occurs will putting the choke on a bit help? Lastly, when was the last time the fuel filter was changed and the carbs cleaned and synched?

Fuel injected! I'm jealous now. My bike is older than I am and no EFI. That might help us in diagnosis though. Somewhere in the fuel system is likely a test port to check fuel pressure. Hook a test gauge to it and hit the road. When it starts getting bad see if the problem corresponds to a drop in fuel pressure. Also hope Mardi Gras is going well for you down there. I don't have test specs for bikes myself so we may have to shoot from the hip a bit with this to figure out what it should be at. If you can get the specs from the local Kawi dealer then we can have more to work with.
