My 1982 yamaha 750 maxin leaked oil into the air filter and ruined the air filter. My plan is to change the oil and oil filter along with a new air filter. I need to know what happened. It has a hose from the engine to the air filter housing. I know the oil has never been changed and the oil filter is probably ruined also. Anyone have any ideas or seen this problem. 1982 Yamaha XJ750J Thanks Dale S links removed

">I know the oil has never been changed and the oil filter is probably ruined also.<" Well that would trash an engine! If (dunno the set up) this uses a PCV type system excessive blowby will end up in intake and can blow oil into air filter. Compression test and sludge situation check indicated, T
