I have a 1969 Chevelle SS that I have been restoring. The point of this post is to alert people like myself who desired to have a car restored by a professional but were taken advantage of by bad business practices. Smoky Hill Restoration in Granbury,Texas had my car for almost two years until last month (December 2007) when, with the help of my attorney, we were able to get the car out of Smoky Hill Restoration. Unfortunately Smoky Hill Restoration would not return or give me all of my original parts and we are now in the process of filing several law suits against them to recover all of my property. I did not owe Smoky Hill Restoration any money when we picked up the car. Smoky Hill Restoration used extortion tacktics to try and get more money out of me throughout the time the car was there even though they bid the restoration as a turn key process. They also demanded deposits for work throughout the process far in excess of what they had done or would do within any reasonable amount of time. Smoky Hill Restoration refused to take my phone calls and consistantly made false committments regarding work completion dates and performance. I would definetely not recommend Smoky Hill Restoration in Granbury , Texas for anything. If you have any questions or if you have any experiences with Smoky Hill Restoration in Granbury, Texas you would like to share please contact me, Steve Haines at 817-776-4320.
