Scams Sign In

Hi, I'm new here and placed an ad,
I have been hit by two scamers already.
Both wanting to send me more money then what my engine is worth and for
me to send back the difference. I have had this happen before, I still have the check, and yes
I still have my parts.
Has this been happening to anyone else.
How safe is this place to place parts for sale?
Thank you,
Bruce
If your placing ads. Please be careful of these scams.

Re: Scams Sign In

To be honest, foreign scammers true to get people to send products over seas all the time. Best pratice is to only sell to Residents within your own country. And when your dealing with large purchases sales and orders its advisable to use an escrow service or large american know companies to handle the transaction..

Most these scammers will try and offer you a lot more then you are asking and will then try to get you to send them the extra cash.

As with safe... as long as you don't ship anything that hasn't been paid for then its safe. Also make sure a check clears first and wait an extra 2 - 3 days. Remember that major companies do this so there is a reason for them waiting a little longer.

Re: Scams Sign In

These guys usually come from Africa, or more precicely Nigeria! Their English is bad, and their suggestions regarding the deal are worse. DO NOT REPLY TO THEM!! I found a site with some advice - http://www.buyersfoundhere.com/car/car_buyer_safety.aspx. There is tons of advice out there - just Google for it.
