INTEGRA ABS Sign In

I own a 97 Integra. When starting my car the ABS system attempts tp pressurize; however, fails after 45 seconds causing the ABS light to come on. The attempted pressurization causes a loud annoying buzzing sound.
Any suggestions as what could be causing the problem?

I have the exact same problem on a 97 Integra. It developed after having to drive on unpaved back roads for a short period of time. This is the only difference in driving habits that I can discern.

Re: INTEGRA ABS Sign In

In general ABS is a star wheel and magnet that senses wheel speed. If they are full of rust or muck they can't work right but the default mode should be regular brakes. They can be cleaned out with compressed air or a fault should be fixed.

That Said: I HATE ABS!!!!!!!! I DON'T NEED A CAR TO TELL ME HOW TO STOP!!!!! The only good news is they are now making cars with a switch to shut the damn system off. I learned to pump brakes and steer a vehicle for optimal stopping and if you pump ABS the next thing is NO brakes!!!!! Nice safety feature! - T
