replace water pump Sign In
Ford Ranger 2000-v6-3.0 flex fuel 2wd.
need advice to change/replace water pump.

Removal
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
  3. Remove the fan blade and the fan shroud.






  1. Disconnect the water bypass tube.
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt.






  1. Remove the bolts and the water pump pulley.






  1. Remove the bolts from the A/C compressor mounting bracket.






  1. Disconnect the lower radiator hose.






  1. Remove the bolts and position the bracket and compressor aside.






  1. Remove the bolts and remove the water pump.






  1. Clean the sealing surfaces.

Installation






  1. Install the water pump.






  1. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket.






  1. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket.






  1. Install the water pump pulley.
  2. Install the accessory drive belt.






  1. Connect the heater hose.






  1. Connect the lower radiator hose.
  2. Install the fan blade and fan shroud.
  3. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
  4. Connect the battery ground cable.
  5. Fill the cooling system.
