I can't stand that every where you go someone is on the phone while driving, its bad enough to have bad drivers on the road, but now they allow them to hold a cell phone and drive at the same time....

There has been so many times I was almost hit by someone driving with one hand up in the air on the phone. Is anyone else bothered by this?

Do you think a hands free solution helps or is it even harder to connect the phone to the hands free unit while driving?

I don't think it's limited to cell phones! Too many people have the license to drive and shouldn't in the first place! I know a few who work hard from their cars and do the phone well. They are on remote talk/recieve systems for the most part. For my own I go nuts! I call them back at the next safe spot. No remote.

It gets political but I agree with personal responsibility for safety - period. Good subject! Tom

Tom your right some people can handle talking and driving, and even eating as well. But A lot should realize that a car is a very dangerous privilege that we sometimes take advantage of.

As well the remote headsets and stuff I think when they work they are great but, what happens if a wire gets lose or it starts to fad out... some people forget they are driving and look down trying to fix it.

Over all I think there should be so new laws passed about using a phone on local and county roads because there are a lot of distractions, in a moving vehicle. In addition highway driving is more constant (most of the time) where it may be a little safer to drive and chat.

It's a rock and hard place! I have 3 family members that have to not only use cell phones while driving but write down orders for sales !!!!!!!! The companies they work for layed everyone off and expect the down time in a car between sites wasted if not cell phone available!!!!! They are good at it as they have to be. I don't know what should be law or not. Alex Huxley wrote a book called "Brave New World" a long time ago and I think we're living it!! Be well, Tom

It is really dangerous driving with cellphones.

Still some people manage well with driving while talking on cellphones, but it is not a safe driving.
