Hey all. I owe a friend a favor, and he recently asked me about the cost of switching off his snow tires for his year round ones. I wanted to suprise him by giving him 2 rims so he wont have to pay mounting and balancing on his tires every season. The question is, is how many different sizes are there for rims? I know there are 4,5 and 8 lug rims but are all 5 lug rims the same size or are there many different variations? thanks (i think he has a maxima)

Seriously and you have a good thought at mind but you REALLY need the exact proper rim - no messing around. There are widths, how much dishing to clear calipers and tons of measurements so even if one fit on it may not be right. Could screw up handling, ABS and tons of stuff, T

Maybe check some wrecking yards and get some that match his car. Most Maximas I've seen have alloy wheels on them. If they happen to be steel, even better cheaper but either way they'll fit the car.............
