Power Windows won't work

My grandson changed the blend door actuator on my daughters 98 Ford Taurus and had a hard time. When he was done the power windows didn't work. The power locks work so I think he unplugged something from the box behind the actuator. He said there was a box with wires coming from it and he was pushing around it pretty hard. Is there a window plug somewhere on that box. He has tried to get to the box by removing the dash and he cannot reach it. Please Help!

The only box associated with the windows is the Body Control Module, also called the GEM (General Electronic Module) which is attached to the back of the fuse box. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thank you for your quick reply. My stubborn grandson says he didn't do anything behind the fuse box. The only problem I have now is him trying to fix it.

Did he actually remove the entire dash for the blend door actuator? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

He doesn't have to. It's accessible from under the dash on the passenger side. He doesn't have to, but does he know that? I'd freak out if I walked out to my car to see how my grandson was doing and saw the entire dash laying on the ground.... Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

He did go under the dash on the passenger to fix the actuator and it took him two and a half hours to fix it with the help of my daughter. He is sure he unplugged something behind the actuator that caused the windows to stop working. My daughter and grandson said they where pressing really hard on some wiring trying to screw the screws back in the actuator. I just don't understand why the windows quit working. The locks work and the is no connection at all when press any of the window control buttons.
