Every time I hit 3 RMP my car jerks and drops to 2 RMP. It's does it at 30 and 40 speed. Is that normal or is there a problem? My RPM gauge goes from 3 to 2 each time. Some may feel a bit abrupt to you and be normal or not normal. I don't know how from here to suggest on what level of abrupt is normal except to have another with you or another drive it who would know from similar cars if normal or not. Check or have checked the level and color of the transmission fluid. Should indicate in its safe/operating range and not be dark or burnt which would be a bad sign.
