Legal advice! Much appreciated Sign In

HI everyone. I'm looking for some advice about an accident I had gotten into immediately after leaving my mechanics shop not two miles away.

I had taken my ford escape in to get my sway bar fixed. My brakes were working safely upon me dropping my vehicle off. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle he never stated my brakes were unsafe for driving. He did gladly leave an estimate for the amount of work that needed doNE to the brakes. But failed to give any type of warning.

When I left my brakes gave out at the 2nd stop sign I arrived to and I got clipped by another driver not two miles from his shop. Snow was a factor but my brakes were safe when I dropped my vehicle off. Can the shop be held accountable?

This isn't a legal advice site and how could it be? "Snow was a factor" just that where I am would make insurance anyway split damages by the vehicles involved. 2 miles of driving or 10 feet how can anyone guess fault? That just IMO living in a snow belt place is still not proof of anything nor blaming anyone.
If you wish to pursue this consult with legal help if you for your area have any case at all.
Again - this isn't a place for this kind of thing,

How do you know it was safe?

He gave you an estimate to repair brakes that you declined and drove away...........in snow conditions no less. Your car was there for a sway bar issue so he went above and beyond to advise you of a brake problem.

Everybody tries to blame their problem on everybody else. Suck it up and accept your own issues.
