98 chrysler concord lxi 3.2 engine will not start. I've had problems with a previous car, so i have some experience with cars not starting with that car it was the altenator, i heard alot of clicking and clucking noise. this time is different, i hear nothing when i try to start it. All the lights work so i do not believe it is the battery. I attempted to get a jump but that didnt work. any suggestions on what cud b causing this problem?? there are 110500 miles on the car

OK - jump if connected well that doesn't work suggests perhaps weak connection at battery, trigger wire from you key isn't sending the power to make starter crank, alarm problems if applicable? Battery ground cable good at engine block, bad neutral safety switch, bad starter. It's a long list of possibilities I would begin with seeing if power (12v) gets to the starter's solenoid. If no, let's go from there. If yes and no reaction from starter at all that would point to the starter. Let the testing begin. You kinda need a helper to try to start it while you test for power to that trigger wire, T
