{03/16} 2000 Buick Century 3.1v6 vin J [1] Rocker Arm Boss {threads are Wollowed-Out} looking for some type of kit [may be a specific kit made up , to correct the threads in the rocker arm mounting boss ?Looks like somebody has Already , Installed a Thread insert & some how they have Destroyed the threads {now threads are "egg-shaped", not round anymore?} Can anybody H E L P us H E L P our customer ? Timeserts work pretty good on those. Contact them and hopefully you can find a dealer close by. On these engines there is a problem with the rocker arm threads. It's not a manufacturer defect as much as any assembly problem. When they are removed to do an intake or head gasket if they aren't torqued to specs the threads will be damaged. As little as 10 lbs over can damage them. Personally I don't even unbolt the rockers anymore. Just go to timesert.com
