window replacement

we have a 1986 toyota truck. we need to put the rubber seal back on the bottom of the window .we can not get it on, any tricks to this. It is the rubber seal that goes on the bottom of the window it,s self. and also if we need a new one were can we order one from. what is the proper name for this seal. it is the drivers side window no vent window involved

If you have the part and the glass that just separated I suggest to save a headache to take the metal part with rubber (sticky stuff) to a glass place and just have them do that part. It comes new on the glass (I think) and would be re-used if glass just broke and you would use special glue for that. I've faked it (not a glass tech) with assorted stuff that lasted. Choose very sticky but not too permanent adhesive. Whole used window with it on probably wouldn't cost diddle at the age either, T
