You know those hard to get at fasteners. Some require a univeral joint type socket and some require hold a fastener in place for a remote spot. Use making tape! It will keep a socket in place or the fastener but should just break off when you are done. Painter's "blue" tape works well but any high quality masking tape does the trick, T

Repair that leaking car hose using duct tape. Clean the hose from dust and debris and wipe it dry. The rolls of tape come in the color of an automotive water hose and measure 1 7/8 inches by 10 feet. It may serve you the purpose dude.. (links not allowed - too sticky)

I don't think that is advice that should be given here. That type of bubble gum repair will end up costing someone an engine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Gotta love it. That post was so old it's got a beard. The original idea didn't need a reply just read a way to hold a screw on tool or something to get it started which I still do if no magnet or other contraption will do. Duct taping a cooling system hose is a bad joke. Links were for some tape company?? T

It figures. Only a duct tape salesman would come up with something like that........LOL ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You think it's bad now, just wait until hurricane forms in the Gulf and it will any day now.

I would never call it a repair or condone a mech doing it for pay. BUT< necessity is the mother of invention. My name is re-tired and i have duck taped a radiator hose....I was young (less old) and foolish. A group of friends and myself took trips into the everglades. Because we could ,thats why..Its amazing what will break , malfunction, or just quit when your 25 miles from the nearest road.Tape on a split hose ,couple gal of swamp water and wa la. Wheel cyl blow, hammer the brake line flat fill m/c with type A. Here's a little slop in the steering..>>>No duct tape here>>>>Fixed this one with mechanics wire. BTW thats my 32year old son in the jeep. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH
