transmission question

I have a 2004 F-150 Heritage. The transmission went out so I purchased a used one online. After installing it I am getting a speed sensor error. So I replaced it rebooted the computer checked the wiring. But now I drive it shifts fine up to 60 MPH. but after 100 yards it drops into first gear. When I took out the old transmission a long rubber tube connected to a steel tube and back to rubber fell out of engine area. So was unable to figure out what and where that tube goes and what it does?

Hello, Are you talking about a cooler line, they are usually metal and rubber. So if it drops back down to first, what code are you getting? P0720?

Oops my bad it is PO720 speed sensor. Is there a speed sensor inside the transmission itself. There are a lot of wires in that harness
