The year of the vehicle is 2002 pontaic trans am
The engine size is LS1
The mileage is 72,000
The problem i am having when down shifting from 6th to 5th gear it does not drop into 5th gear
How can i fix this === is there a linkage adjustment or any lubercation problem.
It up shift good the problem is when down shifting.

It's probably a sychro problem. Have you had the transmission oil (fluid) changed? Most of them use ATF rather than actual gear oil. Would be worth a try. Otherwise, you're looking at trans. repairs.
