I HAVE 1996 CHEVY TAHOE. TRANSFER CASE WENT OUT. REPLACED WITH USED ONE FROM AUTO WRECKER. AFTER INSTALL TRUCK WON'T ENGAGE IN DRIVE, GOES TO FIRST, THEN SECOND, AND REVS HIGH TRYING TO GET INTO DRIVE. ALSO ABS LIGHT NOW IS ON. iS THIS PROBLEM CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER, ANY INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Guesses: Trans fluid full? Did it leak or break something in the swap?

ABS: In jostling things did debris, oils or whatever get on the sensors at the wheel bearings? Sometimes cleaning them or just compressed air can clear them out. It dirt makes a contact at pick up sensor it can set off the light,
