trans stopped pulling

2000 chevy impala . was pulling fine no problems in past. stopped at store got back in wouldnt go. had it towed home next day got in drove up and down road. then quit pulling again seems to work fine when cold but when warms up stops pulling. havent tried anything yet. is trans shot or maybe just need fluid and filter change. thanks,frank

The best guess if linkage is really putting it in a drive gear and it won't go and fluid is properly filled that trans is shot. IMO - an auto trans is good for 70-100K and longer in some with good care and driving habits. If you had to tow it over this I can't think of some simple gadget on it that would cause it to do nothing,
