I just had service done they told me trans fluid was ok. the clutch is very grabby at the bottom my understanding is trans. and clutch share the same fluid is there any way to adjust these clutches roscoebrowndog Tom

How are the engine mounts? Any broken mounts?
Clutch grab can be the result of something going on with the pressure plate or oil getting on the pressure plate from a leak from either the engine or transmission.

No, they do not share the same fluid. The hydraulic clutch uses brake fluid and has a very small capacity. It sounds like you may have a leak in either the clutch master or slave cylinder. Once it sucks a little air in, you will lose the pedal, as is starting to happen to you.

the engine mounts are ok there are only 81000 km on it and my hotroding days are long past

thank you all for the replies the second resevoir for brake fluid now that you mention it i recall a similiar situation in another vehicle i will check it in the morning thank you

If it's low, then you can't just fill it. You have to find out where it went, repair it and then bleed all the air out of the system.
