no transmission shift Sign In

i have a 2000 maxima 3.0 trans only stays in low gear will not up shift ideas help?

Any troubles codes stored in the ECU?

I don't understand what you mean. Do you mean that you have no idea if there are any trouble codes stored in the ECU or there are no troubles stored and if we have any ideas?

This might be above your head. Your going to have to take it to a repair shop that has an enhanced scan tool that is able to interface the transmission control module(TCM) to see if it is storing any codes and is functional. Watching the TCM data stream they can also monitor shift solenoid commands, PRNDL information, and revolution sensor speed. Without some diagnostic data it is near impossible to know what is actually going on.

About the only thing that you can do outside the box is checking all your fuses and inspecting electrical harnesses and connectors that are related to the transmission.
