no clutch pedal Sign In

92 Honda Accord
5 speed manual trans
About 249k miles, had trans totally rebuilt about 3 yrs ago. This is a work car (short drive to work) so only about 2ok miles since rebuilt.

I started having problems with once in a while, clutch pedal would have no pressure and stay on floor. Seemed this would happen after car sat in parking lot at work all day (hot GA sun). I could work clutch pedal a few times by hand and it would come back. Yes, it would "catch", not build up and have pressure and work properly. Anyway I had a buddy check it out and wound up replacing the slave and master cylinder. Problem solved.
Then one day I ran up on a stop sign going about 45mph. Slammed on the breaks and just before stopping slammed in clutch pedal. Got stopped without running through anything but clutch pedal stayed on floorboard Frown. I can work it by hand but no pressure. Will not dissengage trans.
Help pls.

Thanks
Taydar

Re: no clutch pedal Sign In

Your going to have to examine it to determine what happened. Did it run out of fluid? Does it have an obvious leak? Did a push rod fall out of the slave cylinder?

Re: no clutch pedal Sign In

make sure the pivot for the pedal is free too. I've seen them get gummed up or rusty and stick
