I have a 2000 nissan maxima, 6cyl, automatic. The trans has a slight harsh shift from 1st to 2nd, the nissan factory service manual calls shift shock. Besides this it runs excellent. I have tested most things it says to test in the service manual, tps sensor, dropping resistor, ect... They test ok, I still have to give the trans a pressure test, but it seems like the problem is going to be a bad trans control valve. Does anyone know if the control valve can be changed with the transmission in the vehicle ?
