I have no experience with transaxles but a lady friend has decicded I should fix her 93 Dodge Shadow ES. I drove the car home tonight and noticed a growling noise from the lower front passenger side. After a 16 mile drive the hub was not hot as I would expect from a bad bearing. She had the right front tire replaced a week ago and I did notice that the new tire is a 185 rather than 195 like all the other tires. I have to work on this problem in four days and would appreciate any advice. Please help me get this problem solved so I can get my truck back (had to lend it to her till I get her car fixed).

Does sound like a bad bearing. Hoist front wheels and check it out - and the brakes. Tires really need to match but for now I don't think that's causing this,
