When trying to shift into Drive or reverse or any gear nothing happens, like there is no resistance! Was driving down the street fine about 35 mph when it happened! any help on this would be great! thanks! Check fluid and axles first as suggested. Whenever there is a transmission performance issue, the first thing that should be done is check the fluid. Most people never check it until there is a problem, even those who do check engine oil. It costs you nothing to check the tranny when you gas up just the same as the engine.
