ford mustang transmission problems

i have a ford mustang 3.8 v6 and the o/d ( over drive light) is blinking on and off now the transmission is pulling and shifting fine any ides what causes that iff iff its something i should be concered with thanks.

Would be worthwhile to get the computer scanned for codes by a professional scan tool that will show transmission codes. Little things can get big very fast and its money well spent to look into this very soon
