car jumps foreward and stalls when selecting drive from reverse can anyone advise please

brian; This may be more of a drivability issue than a transmission problem. It's possible, though, that it could be a TCC (torque converter lock up) problem, but not common to Ford products. Do you have a check engine or 'service engine soon' lamp illuminated? If so, have the code(s) retrieved and post them here.
