The entire axle has to be removed. It's held in with a lock ring and has to be pried out. Get the biggest and strongest bar you can find with a flat tip and get the tip behind the housing. Use a hard, sharp popping motion to pop it loose and it will slide out of the trans. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
