advice on my 94' infiniti q45

Engine size: 4.5L V8 DOHC 32V FI Engine
Mileage/Kilometers: 148,435
ok so i bought this car like 4 months ago, i paid $1200 bucks and had it checked out seemed like a good deal at the time.
Recently i have had what seems to be a on again off again problem. usually after driving the car for a good 20 mins, i will have this problem where the i will hit bout 22 to 24 mph and it wont shift or go past that speed, and overall doesnt run well and seems to almost shake. i may be wrong, but it seems to almost sound like its chugging for air, or something.
i had one of my buddies take a look at it, he said it may be a shift solenoid, and another buddy said it could be the whole transmission.
the only work i have had done to it was a oil change, new brakes, tires, and all new belts, i am currently installing a bearing because it shredded the last serp belt i put in it.
just wondering what i can do. i am on a low budget (full time college student -_-) and am pretty low on funds.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Problem solved replaced the throttle control module. Fixed the issue
