I have a 2001 Chevy silverado 4.8 2wd- and having to replace the transmission-Have pulled out the bad one and its a 4L60E but understand that chevorlet put a couple of different ones in that model- is the 4L60E my only choice or is there another model that will bolt right up -I am a novice so I do not think I would be capable with much modifications Thanks

They can't because the 4l60E has gone through so many changes since its conception. Best to stick with the same year transmission or have yours overhauled.
