Wont shift Past second gear Sign In

I just recently noticed my car doesn't shift past second gear after changing a crank pos sensor. I had never taken it on the Freeway Prior to doing this and noticed the car seemed to be revving high. I tested it again and found out it was in second/neutral(after a certain RPM level was reached). I checked the fluid and its clean and seems full(transmission has no doopstick). Someone told me it could be the Speed Sensor. Another thing i have noticed is that if i put it in Neutral when the car is moving the speedo will sometimes just drop to 0 until the car shifter is put back into a gear. First and Second gear are both smooth, it just wont shift into 3rd and 4th. Also the ABS/Brake Lights come on at low speeds. The brakes feel fine when i press them and i get no brake locking either. I am pretty mechanically incline this just has me baffled. I dont want to replace a perfectly good transmission. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, also on the side note the car will sometimes just cut off, i think this was fixed with the replacement of the above mentioned crank pos sensor. Might a seized torque converter stop the transmission from shifting as well?

If your torque convertor was bad you'd have way more trouble than this. Get the codes read and post them up for us to see. We need the code numbers, not just the generic description. Anything acting up this much should generate a code or two and give us a direction to go in.
