This is a very simple question (I'm auto-ignorant and blonde :-)). I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT V6 that is leaking trany fluid. Brief look-see by a repair place says they think it might only be line leaking but some chance it may also be bad seal job by previous mechanic. They will look at it in more detail Monday when they will clean it up to get better idea of where it is leaking from. In the mean time, I have to keep trany fluid in it till then. Walmart employee tonight says Super Tech Multi-vehicle ATF auto trany fluid will work until Monday. Bottles say "meets performance requirements for Dexron, Dexron II, Dexron IIE, Dexron III, Mercon, and Mercon V. A google search did not find much specific except one site that says only use Mitsubishi Diamond fluid in it. Will this Super Tech ATF work safely for a few days? Thanks!

Do NOT use Dexron or Mercon in this vehicle..

From what i understand,it calls for an ' SPIII '
You may get by with an 'ATF plus 4 ' if im not mistaken...

I believe O'Reillys sells a Mit special fluid, or at least they can advise you better than Walmart or call tranny shop. I would not guess, because the wrong fluid could bring big problems.
