I was driving and slowed down for a speed bump and shortly after the speed bump my trans did nothing. In any gear the engine reved like it is neutral or park. The transmission shifted perfect before this, no issues! The truck rolls like its in neutral, and when I try shifting from gear to gear I don't even hear an engage or a click. There is no burn in the fluid and levels are where they should be. Please help! I didn't bottom out on the speed bump. It didn't just quit until after my rear tires had passed over the speed bump! If this vehicle won't even hold in park the linkage must have given out somehow?? Park works but nothing in any other gears. Checked for possible fuse blown on power train module fuses all good. So my other options would be .... I lost the pump in the trans? Or it dropped the filter inside the pan thus not allowing it to pick up fluid? Or is it possible clutch issue inside the trans? Do you have a history of service on this vehicle since new or recent work or service on trans? Yes/maybe: If for some whacked reason filter fell down or something that stopped it from picking up fluid that could explain it but would think you'd be measuring a height fluid level on a dipstick for ATF - guess. If wishing for a miracle go ahead and take pan down and see if anything is unusual or have it towed for a diagnosis to a shop that frequently does trans work or just trans work.
